If you have followed my blog content for awhile you may notice I write about both journaling and family history. (genealogy)
I do this with the intention of trying to connect them both.
By means of using journaling, or recording special memories as a way to save and preserve family stories.
But I think journaling doesn’t just have to be in the form of writing, even though that is what I focus the most on in my blog articles.
Other forms of journaling / memory keeping are:
- Diary Writing
- Junk Journal Creations
- Scrapbooks
- Photo Albums
- Signature Books
- Keepsakes and Notes in Bibles
- Yearbooks / Memory Books
- Audio Recordings
- Video Recordings, in both short and long form
- Pictures, Drawings, Daily Trackers
- Newspaper Articles, jotting down events
- Painting
- Collecting mementos and trinkets in a memory box
- Time Capsules
All of these options are great ways to save memories to look back on with nostalgia, all while saving your family history!
