It has officially been 1 year since I launched my very first Etsy Shop RLS Photogenic LLC!
I certainly learned a lot through experimenting and testing items and keywords.
But also a tremendous amount of help and guidance from YouTuber Starla Moore and the podcast How to Sell Your Stuff on Etsy from Lizzie Smiley.
Without these 2 women, and their respective guests, I probably would have given up before I even started.
Currently as of June 2024 my shop consists of digital printable products and two print-on-demand notebooks.
The theme of items is family tree research (genealogy) and journaling/stationary.
I will admit only one journaling ephemera product has sold, all other sales are the ancestry printables.
I truly believe that is because they are more niche, helpful resources, and in a less competitive market.

Etsy Statistics
For my first year I have 34 products listed, have received 17 sales, with a net profit of $26.79!
Sure that may seem like a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of life.
But it’s a start and I’m proud of it.
I’ve poured hours of time, energy, and thought in to the printables I offer.
and if those worksheets helped someone with their family history research than to me that even outweighs the financial income.
I’m looking forward to my 2nd year on Etsy and what I will create for others to enjoy!
