Easter Activities

There are so many Easter activities for both kids and adults to enjoy.

It’s okay to get nostalgic and color eggs at any age too!

I love all the pastel colored treats like M&Ms and jelly beans for the special day, and putting together an Easter basket for my sister.

Here a few Easter / Spring activity ideas!

  • Dye Easter eggs
  • Do a scavenger hunt
  • Create a craft – paint, draw, color, do sidewalk chalk

Journal Prompts

Holidays come around every year but the memories we create are always changing.

Take a few minutes with a journal to write about special Easter moments to cherish forever.

Here are some journal prompt ideas:

  • What has been your favorite Easter in your lifetime? What makes it stand out compared to others?
  • What traditions does your family participate in for Easter?
  • Is there a special recipe you like to cook or bake every year?
  • Do you decorate your home? What types of decor do you enjoy putting on display? (I love collecting bunny displays! HomeGoods is a dangerous store I try to avoid this time of year! LOL)
  • What types of memories do you hope to create in the future?
  • Take a family photo, print it and put it in your journal or scrapbook with a description of the holiday’s events!

    Gifts

One of my favorite Easter memories was from when I was about 11 years old.

My mom put Easter gifts all around the yard as a scavenger hunt.

It was a bright, warm Spring morning from what I remember as I peered out the window with excitement ready to run out the door!

It was mostly outside toys that I enjoyed for many years after that. Some are still probably in the garage for my younger sister.

    1. This is such a good list. I love the idea of taking a walk and the growing herb kit. My girls are still so little and we are still working on developing lasting family traditions.

      1. That’s wonderful! Creating new traditions is so much fun! I learned gardening from my grandfather and now like to share it with my sister. I got her the kids terrarium kit when she was little, it was exciting to see the plants grow. Happy Easter! Thanks for reading!

    2. You’ve got lots of great ideas for the activities. The ones my family and I do for Easter is dying eggs, egg hunt and sometimes we do Easter baskets.

    3. Thanks so much for all of the neat ideas, especially the journal prompts! I didn’t have any to use for Easter, so you’ve helped me a bunch! Thank you for sharing too!
