After completing my first year on Etsy, I’ve decided to broaden my horizons and try selling digital products on Go Imagine!
This is not to say I plan on leaving Etsy by any means, but simply exploring options and trying new platforms.
Like people often say,
Diversify your income, don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
Sincerely, Content Creators
But in all honesty, it’s more than just business talk, or being worried a site will go down and their goes my content.
I personally support Go Imagine’s ideas:
- United States based
- Supporting Shop Local features
- Donating to charities
- Focus on the art creators and what they handmake
- Set pricing packages with quantities of listings
- No AI, Print on Demand, or Drop Shipping
While I have experimented with AI and I do think it is cool for creating art work, there are so many unknowns with it. There are risks involved for sure.
I know what I’ll be paying each month to sell my worksheets, while also supporting a good cause. Compared to other sites with unpredictable fees.
Learning about Go Imagine
Go Imagine was something I never heard of until YouTuber Starla Moore and Podcaster Lizzie Smiley of How to Sell Your Stuff on Etsy mentioned it in their content.
After listening to the podcast on my drive home from work, the first thing I did was excitedly tell my husband about the website.
I was unpacking items from my day and quickly asked him, “Can you Google if Go Imagine allows Digital Products??”
He typed away on our laptop and said, “Yes they do!”
Well that set in motion the idea of trying something new!
Go Imagine Application
After doing some research online, and in Lizzie’s Facebook group of course, my mind was made up.
But I took the Friday night to sleep on it. It’s not great to make decisions past bedtime anyway right?
So on Saturday at the start of my day I looked in to the membership plans, had some financial budgeting thoughts, and decided to take the plunge.
I choose the $5/month plan for 200 listings. Right in the middle of the 3 options. $30 a year I figured, I can handle that and not break the bank.
So on Saturday, June 22, 2024 I officially submitted my membership application on Go Imagine!
Now I (patiently) wait for approval of my acceptance in to the website.
I really don’t mind since I know an actual real human will be checking out my content, not a robot.

Future Articles about the Journey
and I will be sure to share my experience on this blog, for others who want to give it a try.
Afterall I did quite a bit of Googling before starting this process, so I’m happy to help!
Some of my digital product items in my current Etsy shop would be listed on Go Imagine, but not all, as I respect and support their wishes of no AI generated content.
All of my template worksheets are created by me click-by-click and writing out details, plus artistic journal ephemera designs.
