To all the grandparents and grandchildren looking to learn more family information I recommend the books “Your Grandmother’s Story” and “Your Grandfather’s Story” by Piccadilly.
These books are great starting points to find out details you may not have thought to ask or share.
Book Details
There are many simple questions, divided into the categories of: About Your Family, When You Were Young, Your Adolescent Years, Things You Learned About Life, Growing Older, Becoming a Grandma/Grandpa.

I enjoy reading through the book and asking my grandparent’s the questions while also audio recording the interview with my cell phone. This way I have two versions of saving all the details and can listen back to it incase there is anything I may have missed when writing.
Another option is, as the grandparent you can write in all the answers and save it to share with your future grandchildren. You may want to even include a scrapbook or photo album to identify who you are writing about in your family tree.

It only takes a few minutes at a time to go through these books with, or for, your loved ones. Writing down these memories is a great way to save the family stories to share in the future instead of being forgotten in the past.
