The first Sunday after Labor Day marks National Grandparents’ Day!
In honor of this special day I put together a list of family questions. You can go through and journal the answers about your grandparents, about your parents for your children, or as a grandparent yourself!
My maternal grandparents had a tremendous impact on my upbringing through to my adult years. I am forever thankful for them and the time we have had together.

Journal Questions:
- What are your grandparents’ names on both your maternal and paternal side of your family?
- Where were your grandparents born?
- Where did they live throughout their lives?
- What are names of schools they attended?
- Where did they work, what was their occupation?
- What are some accomplishments they achieved?
- What are their hobbies or interests?
- How did they meet as a couple?
- Where were places they traveled?
- What are their favorites meals or food items?
- What types of entertainment do they enjoy? (books, authors, movies, music, art, etc.)
- What is your relationship like with your grandparents?
- What have you enjoyed learning from them?
- Note some special memories you would like to share and remember
